Filipiniana Dance Company of Las Vegas was born. Established as a Non-Profit Organization, whose mission is to Educate, Promote and Preserve our Filipino Cultural Heritage through development, performance and presentation of Traditional Filipino Folk Dances. Our Organization is dedicated to continuously Educate and Impart on the rich heritage of our culture through arts. Our members comprised of men and women, committed to volunteer their time for the sake of their Heritage, Culture and passion for dancing.
In 2006….. Filipiniana Dance Company of Las Vegas produced “Indak Ng Lahi”, Rhythm of the Race. Choreographed and Directed by the renowned Fred “Roski” Durano of the prestigious BAYANIHAN, the Philippine National Folk Dance Company. Held at Cashman Theatre in Las Vegas, the show received positive response and great reviews. It encompassed a range of costumes from all the regions of the Philippines, including rituals of indigenous people, colonial influences of Spain and the Islamic Heritage of Mindanao.
Throughout the community, Filipiniana Dance Company of Las Vegas have been showcasing all of the various and traditional dances of the Philippines. Invitations for performances are numerous for the group, whether it’s a Community or Social Events, Conventions, Weddings or Anniversaries, the group will surely be invited. You will find them in their beautiful colorful costumes and authentic looking props, the ladies might be in their Balintawak, Maria Clara or Ifugao and the gentlemen in their Barong Tagalog or Bario Costumes.
The Filipiniana Dance Company of Las Vegas has been and will continue to be an avid supporter of other Filipino-American Organizations and will continue to thrive and promote their Mission.
